Since the reform&opening up in the late1980’s, Chinese migrant workers, as the tremendous influx of labor force towards urban areas, have proed the development of industrialization and urbanization. As the most important part of Chinese economic, new-generation migrant workers, came into the social stage and fulfill their responsibility in different fields. It is evaluated that there are nearly100million young migrant workers that account for more than60%of the whole migrant workers (National Statistical Bureau). Although it seems that the whole group of migrant workers bears a lot in common, there exist enormous differences between traditional migrant workers and the new generation. Literature abounds in research and analysis concerning the features and problems of rural labor in the last century or at the beginning of this century, which appear outdated from current perspective, since they can no longer stand for the emerging array of the new generation of migrant workers. Furthermore, the research and report in the new generation focus on only one specific aspect or discuss in a too broad spectrum, lacking the complete summary based on distinct respects. Hence, the paper discusses the relationship between social support and employee engagement and the mediating role of work adjustment. And the results show that workplace social support has a positive relationship with employee engagement and cross sub-culture adjustment; cross sub-culture adjustment is related to employee engagement. Futhermore, the relationship between workplace social support and employee engagement is mediated by cross sub-culture adjustment; and cross sub-culture motivation moderates the relationship between co-worker support and cross sub-culture adjustment.
