| Grassland use methods not only reflect livestock features, but also determine its nature. Grassland using methods influence on sustainable land use, environment and households’ income. So analysis of herdsman grassland use has a certain practical meaning for strategic developing of sustainable land use. This paper provides institutional economics comparison analysis of grassland legislation and level of grassland degradation in two countries, China and Mongolia. Study area covers two regions:Mongolia central province and Xinlin Gol district in Autonomous region of Inner Mongolia in PRC.41herdsmen were interviewed, data from survey was used to estimate herdsmen income and driving factors in their grassland use decisions. The overall goal of the work is using comparison between China and Mongolia grassland use to provide information about herdsmen behaviour. |
