The convergence of regional industrial structure is a phenomenon of dynamicchanges of the industrial structure in the process of economic development, is also theidentical or similar layout of industrial structure that regions which have differentresource endowment will perform. This phenomenon has aroused the concern ofmany people, but remains controversial. Recent researches are mainly focused ineither Yangtze River Delta or Pearl River Delta region. There are few studies on thearea of Northeast, especially on empirical analysis. To this end, the paper is theanalysis of the convergence of industrial structure for the area of Northeast.First, this paper Research reviewed; second, it defines the definition of theconvergence of industrial structure, Depending on the causes of this phenomenon intothe market caused by the convergence of industrial structure and government-ledconvergence of industrial structure. Analysis of the impact of the convergence ofindustrial structure on economic development in the clear on the basis of thisphenomenon causes; the next use of the industrial structure similarity coefficient andthe conversion speed factor of the industrial structure and the empirical analysis onthe Northeast, were calculated from the perspective of the three industries andmanufacturing, the calculation results show that the Northeast region the existence ofthe phenomenon of the convergence of industrial structure.
