Abstract/Summary:
When celebrating their national culture events, every single ethnic group can show up a wide variety of activities. The spring festival is one of the most special events in the Chinese people. Spring festival is a traditional ceremony, not only Han Chinese celebrate, but also a number of ethnic minorities celebrate this traditional festival. Besides, spring festival is as very important as Chinese’s in Vietnam. Jing ethnic minority that is originally from Vietnam, nowadays residing in Guang Xi coastal areas also simultaneously hold the traditional spring festival. The writer is deeply interested in the research of spring festival of Jing ethnic group located in Wan Wei village, Guang Xi coastal area, and meanwhile also comparatively study Vietnamese’s traditional spring festival, belief of sacrifice to God and ancestors, and foods so that it will be more understanding about Jing people and their distinctive culture.Field research observation, material collection, statistical analysis, and comparable study were employed as a research method in this paper. This paper has four chapters. The first chapter is to briefly introduce the topic, previous history related to subject research, its research value, research counterpart and scope, research objectives and methods, and so on. The second chapter mainly focuses on Jing’s economy, education, and Ha festival. Moreover, it will be analyzed the belief of Jing’s religion and ritual activities during spring festival, and so on. The third chapter is principally about the custom of Jing’s spring festival and ritual habits, foods and drinks, taboo, and comparable study in every aspect of traditional spring festival between Jing’s and Vietnamese’s. The fourth chapter is about the conclusion, primarily on the Jing’s culture original preservation and integration analysis.
