As the basic industry of the national economy, manufacturing is the foundation of economic growth and economic transformation; It is also the main symbol of the international competitiveness and urban employment. In addition, Research how to achieve it full development and optimization and upgrade, and how to improve the environmental technical efficiency, to achieve low investment, high output, low pollution, and high benefit, it has an important meaning to enhance competitiveness and development level of China’s manufacturing industry.At first, This paper introduced the research background and research significance, in order to have a basic understanding for researching; And define the manufacturing environmental technical efficiency of the relevant defining, connotation, and analysis the manufacturing actual situation, including manufacturing industry advantage and disadvantage.Second, based on the actual situation of manufacturing industry, this paper selected30industry as sample between2003and2010. By costructing a directional distance functions to measure environmental technical efficiency for every industries and area. Including environmental technology efficiency measure theory, measure model and select index, and then measure and analysis the manufacturing technical efficiency. The result shows that the manufacturing environmental technical efficiency level is low in generally, but most of the enterprise’s environmental technical efficiency are on the rise. Regional differences is also evident, the eastern coastal city ETE is significantly higher than the central and western regions.Then, according to the ETF results, constructing econometric model to research the influence factors of the environment technical efficiency, based on the30sample industry panel data from2003to2010, empirical analysis possible influence factors. Including index, model selection and empirical analysis. The research shows that FDI, R&D has an significant influence on China’s manufacturing industry environmental technical efficiency. At last, According to the results of empirical analysis, put forward policy recommendations to improve the technical efficiency of manufacturing industry. |
