Worshiping god "bsang"-is a cultural phenomenon which had a profound historical trace back for Tibetans. It was transformed and had changed in ways of meanings, it is all due to the outside affections. But it had made its way to the modern multi-cultural society, and is practiced by all the Tibetan people, no mater they are Bons or Buddhists. All in all, that’s the reason god worship ceremony becomes our view of valuing the outside world, and it had rooted in the common sense of this nation. To have a research of the worshiping system is a good way to interpret the history of the processing society, and a good way to trace back to the historical progress; also we can use it to do comparison between modern Tibetan society and traditional Tibetan society. Most importantly, it’s a good way to make us a clear vision of the god worshiping and a much clear idea of the bsang (god worshiping). In this essay, I am trying my best to explain the basic elements and the worshiping process of god worshiping. Moreover, the related worshiping chanting words, from recalling those long passed down tradition, we should purchase and value those highly preserved. It is a magnificent material of interpreting the traditional Tibetan society and it’s progress. According to the main points, I had divided my essay into five parts. In the first part, I had mainly talked about the development of the worldwide god worshiping ceremony and the original sources of Tibetan god worshiping. In the second parts, I focused on the Tibetan god worshiping ceremony, especially the definition and source, progress, how to worship and the importance of worshiping and its functions. The third part is mainly talking about the vocal chanting during worship and the formation of the chanting words, the different versions and its artistic characteristics. From illustration those, in the fourth part, I talked about the cultural value of god worshiping and the hidden historical traces, worshiping progress, environmental protection and all the stuff it contains. In the concluding part, I had mainly talked about the realistic practicing situation of god worshiping in Tibetan, and moreover, to share its advantage and disadvantage.
