Since the reform and opening up, middle and small enterprises become an important component of China’s economy and play a great role in promoting economic growth、promoting the progress of science and technology and increasing the employment. However, SMEs’financing structure is unbalanced in China. This embodies that the internal financing is high proportional but has a limited accumulation, and SMEs over rely on bank loans in external financing. This relates to commercial bank and SME themselves, and also to the financing system builded by the government. This paper selects the topic of SME financing structure imbalance, through analyzing the stakeholders who make the financing structure imbalance-commercial bank, SMEs and government, to look for the underlying reasons of this phenomenon and propose the useful recommendation, all these have important practical significance to solve the SME financing structure imbalance problem.First of all, this paper combs the financing of small and medium enterprises at home and abroad and the related theory and research status. Especially, focuses on the financing of small and medium enterprises structure theory after define the concept of small and medium-sized enterprises, etc. Based on these, this paper analyzes SME financing structure status from internal financing and external financing, and draws a conclusion that the internal financing is high proportional and SMEs over rely on bank loans in external financing. The article further analyzes the stakeholders of SME financing structure imbalance-commercial bank, SMEs and the government, and tries to find the deep cause of the imbalance. In this chapter, the article uses empirical analysis methods to conclude that small and medium-sized banks has comparative advantages in financing for SME. Thirdly, the article draws a beneficial experience that could improve the financing imbalance status of our country by investigating the advanced practice in the developed countries. At last, based on the comprehensive analysis above, the paper puts forward suggestions on how to solve SME financing structure imbalance. The paper believes that SMEs should firstly improve the capacity and credit themselves, and secondly the government should provide strong support in building good financing system, only this can we solve the problem of SME financing structure imbalance comprehensively through building diversified financing system.
