Effect Mechanism Of Outward FDI On China’s Independent Innovation And Empirical Study

Since the implementation of going-out strategy, the mount of our country’s OFDI (Outward Foreign Direct Investment) increased rapidly, which made people gradually begin to concentrate on the questions that what influence be made by OFDI on China’s economic and society development, and the reverse technology spillover of OFDI is one of the focuses, which is also the key point that why China encourage the FDI activity of domestic enterprises. Therefore, there has the important theoretical and practical significance in studying the relationship between OFDI and China’s capacity for independent innovation in the background of building innovation-oriented country.However, the research on the relationship between FDI and China’s independent is still concentrated in the direction of Inward. Therefore, the research on the relationship will be applied to OFDI in this paper. Firstly, the mechanism of impact of OFDI on the China’s independent innovation capacity is analyzed, and then, given its performance in China through empirical analysis and using China-related data. The specific research frameworks are as follows:Chapter I mainly describes the background and significance of topic-selection, the research actuality and the methods and content adopted in this paper; Chapter II summarize and analyze the related-theory of FDI and innovation capacity, includes the theories of OFDI, the measurement methods of the level of independent innovation capacity, and the concept of independent innovation; In chapter III, the situations of China’s OFDI and independent innovation capacity are analyzed; Chapter IV analyzes the factors of influencing independent innovation capacity and the impact mechanism of OFDI in capacity for innovation; Chapter V gives China’s performance of impact mechanism of OFDI in independent innovation capacity and the factors which influence the effect of promoting OFDI independent innovation capacity by OFDI through empirical analysis and using China-related data. The results show that there exists a long-term stable equilibrium relationship between outward FDI and China’s independent innovation capacity, the impact direction of outward FDI on China’s independent innovation capacity is positive, but with a lag. And OFDI will benefit China’s independent innovation (stands for with the number of invention application) only if the economic development, economic openness and human capital reached a certain level or above. The last chapter summarizes the conclusions of this paper, and gives some suggestions for improving China’s independent innovation capacity by OFDI.The innovations in this paper are as follows:analyzes the impact mechanism of OFDI in capacity for independent innovation; Empirical tests has been taken to analyze the impact effect of OFDI on China’s capacity for independent innovation; analyzes the factors which influence the effect of promoting independent innovation capacity by OFDI through empirical tests.
