To maintain the stable and healthy development of our economy, we must expand consumption stimulating domestic demand to promote economic growth, and increase the proportion of residents’consumption is particularly important. Based on China’s specific conditions, promote domestic consumption gradually should put emphasis on start-up rural consumer demand. With more than seven million population of the rural consumption market space, is the huge potential in China. The largest number and potential consumer groups, is the most reliable economic growth in China, and the most enduring power source, therefore, to increase rural needs which is an effective way is to maintain the steady economic growth.Based on the research about consumption of domestic and foreign scholars, starting from the rural residents’consumption, the text analyzed the onsumption status between rural, cities and different regions farmers. The situation of rural residents’consumption was analyzed start with rural residents’consumption psychology, rural consumption which was declining, and rural existing deformity consumption. Through the consumption of the influence factors of the problem, the underdeveloped rural economy is the root cause of the problem, the consumption of the supply of public policy is the direct reason of consumption. Finally, the proposoal to promote rural residents’consumption demand of countermeasures was given:First, to establish and perfect the system of rural residents’support increased taxation revenue, fundamentally promoting rural consumer, Second, increasing the supply of public policy, and promote rural residents spot consumption.
