| Hebei province is one of the most important province in North China, whoseports include Qinhuangdao port, Jingtang port in Tangshan, Caofeidian port inTangshan and Huanghua port. Hebei has a coastline of487km. But duo to historicalreasons, Hebei is at a disadvantage in port development, port centered industry andcoastal economy compared with other coastal provinces. Its advantage needs to bedeveloped futher.With the entry into21st century, Hebei put forward a new idea about how todevelop the regional economy, the inland development mode was instead. In2006, theseventh Party convention in Hebei has put forward the goal that we construct Hebei tobe a strong province in coastal provinces for the first time. In2008, Hebei economicworking conference outlined the new territory, dividing Hebei into three ports ofQinhuangdao port, Tangshan port and Huanghua port and Huan-Jing-Jin area, centralHebei and south Hebei. Three economic sectors have a sense of port-oriented and thisprovides a new chance for Hebei to develop its regional economy instead of the oldmode.Throughout various economics about its development between port and inlandhome and aboard, in the context of openness, only with coordination between port andinland, can the regional economy develop smoothly, soundly and quickly, otherwise,it can’t develop well. However, the key of coordination between port economy andinland economy is the coordinated development of port industry and inland industry.This paper analyses the problem, the reason and restraining factor in the coordinationbetween port economy and inland economy in Hebei first and gives some suggestionsat last. This paper is favored to optimize the industrial structure layout and constructstrong economy province.This paper is divided into five parts. Part one introduces the background,meaning and value of the research of the coordination between port industry andinland industry and then introduces the main context, ways, the emphasis and the innovation. Part two illustrates the concept of port industry, hinterland industry,coordination development and elaborates industry chain theory, industry clustertheory and regional economic integration theory. Part three elaborates the presentcondition of port industry and inland industry in Hebei province, and come to aconclusion: the mutual drive of port logistics industry and hinterland industry is low,the drive impact of port logistics industry on hinterland industry is not obvious, it isremains to be improved that the support of hinterland industry to port logisticsindustry; the complete industry chain has not formed between port industry andhinterland industry, and the chain is low value-added though their development isbenignant. As a result, in order to construct a efficient and scale link between portindustry and hinterland industry, all parties need to make efforts. Part four analysesthe restricting factors that restrict the port manufacturing industry and hinterlandindustry from port factor, hinterland factor and policy factor. Part five gives somesuggestions to the development of port manufacturing industry and hinterlandindustry from industry synergy and industry development. |
