A Study On Transport Efficiency Of FMCG Based On The Transport Quantities

With rapid economic development in China, FMCG (fast moving consumer goodsindustry) showing the magnitude of the growth and broad market demand and prospects.The construction of distribution channels is an important part for fast moving consumergoods manufacturers, so that transport and logistics in distribution process is a necessarycondition of the depth distribution. With the increasingly fierce competition in the FMCGindustry, retailers-free-shipping policy came into being. Therefore, FMCG suppliers mustbe of concern on how to improve transport efficiency in the logistics process.First, the thesis analyze the characteristics and features of logistics in FMCG, thenproposed that transportation quantities can significantly affect the efficiency of itstransport in a-single-line and a-single-specie transport in the study of the transportefficiency of the FMCG from the qualitative point of view. Therefore, establish thequantity discount model to consider the transport volume at the conditions of bothsuppliers and retailers centralized control and decentralized control, so that to maximizetransport efficiency through the FMCG transport volume regulation. Analysis the gap oftotal cost of supplier between algorithm and reality in centralized control of the supplychain due to transport bulk, and then propose a new iterative algorithm considering thetransport volume, allowing more accurate calculation on transportation costs and totalsupply chain costs. Then, combined with actual needs, establish a quantity discount model,based on the decision of vehicles selection. Finally, validate the above study through apractical example with the case of a FMCG company.
