With China’s sustained economic development and rapid growth of the process ofurbanization, more and more people crow into big cities. More traffic demands are takeninto the eyes of urban traffic engineers and the officials of the government. However, urban traffic planning does not keep pace with the develop of traffic demand, also, trafficresources are limited with the growing number of cars instead, all these factors givetremendous pressure to urban traffic and transforming. Public transition gives us aneffective way to solve this difficult problem. If we want put the development of urbantransit first, we should give urban transit enterprises effective subsidy and set upreasonable fares, because the choice of traveler is effected by ticket price at a certainservice level which is not variable at an certain time, and the share rate of publictransportation is also changed, which ultimately affects public transport enterprise’sexistence and the sustainable development of urban traffic at last. In this paper, we firstconsider the need of travelers, give an economic analysis of traffic demand and influence, and solve the question of transportation subsidies mechanism from the perspective of thetheory of information games, discuss the scientific and rational urban public transportationoptimal pricing, in order to provide a scientific theoretical guidance. This thesis sets the theory of urban transit pricing and subsidies as foundation andanalyzes the characteristics of public transportation, explore the maximization of therealization of information resources. The innovation of this paper is that it points thepublic transportation in pricing information judgment, the application of the incentive ofgame theory, and combined with economic method to analyze the pricing and subsidiesstrategies for the research results and conclusions which has a strong theoretical andpractical uses, it also gives scientific and reasonable price model in order to achieve thepurpose of subsidies, which can finally realize the optimum efficiency of publictransportation system.
