With the manufacturing enterprises are establishing strategic cooperationrelationships with each other, the competition between supply chains becomes the mainbody in today’s social competition. As a new management mode, supply chainmanagement plays a vital role in improving operation efficiency and reducing costs formanufacturing enterprises. Effective supply chain management can improve companies’core competiveness fundamentally. During the past, suppliers have to pay more foroffering customers better service; nowadays, the more personalized customer demandand the shorter products life cycle request suppliers to improve their efficiency as well asthe service offered. This project studies on the positioning mode of value offering pointand order penetration point in demand-supply chains, and analyzes the influences ofdifferent modes on suppliers’ total costs and added benefits.Firstly, this thesis illustrates the background and significance of this study, andreviews the theory of supply chain management, VOP and OPP, and system dynamics.Secondly, this thesis analyzes the key aspects of VOP and OPP positioning inmanufacturing supply chain, and selects4VOPs and7OPPs. Then17positioning modesof VOP and OPP are proposed.Thirdly, this thesis utilizes Vensim and iThink software of System Dynamics toestablish the causal loop diagrams and system flowchart diagrams of4classicalpositioning modes of VOP and OPP, based on the high-tech products manufacturingsupply chain. And it tests the results’ reasonable effectiveness of the models. At last, by comparing the models’ results, this thesis describes the impacts of VOPand OPP positioning modes on suppliers’ costs and benefits in detail. This study providescompanies with useful theory models to implement successful supply solutions forchoosing the best mode of VOP and OPP.
