The year of1952witnessed the birth of the first professional financial leasing corporation inhistory, followed by the booming of this industry as the second largest financing tool, only next tobank credit. It has since been playing a great role in promoting investment demand, creditconsuming, enterprise finance management and the increase of GDPin national economy.Financial leasing was brought into China in1980s. At the beginning of the opening-up, itsignificantly functioned as a tool for the introduction of foreign capital and advanced equipments.For the past28years, financial leasing has experienced the whole process of development, fromrise, recession, recovery to vigorous promotion. Since2008, particularly, the industry of financialleasing in China has been enjoying its rapid growth and has become a critical part of financialindustry in our country.Risk control is the core of a financial leasing project. Therefore, how to effectively controlthe risk and ensure the safety of funds is currently the most important research subject of financeleasing companies. This thesis conducts a comprehensive analysis on the risk control process ofChina Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. and demonstrates the risk control procedure of a financialleasing project through study of cases.This thesis adopts description as a main writing approach, with the assistance of tables andother statistics as arguments. The first part elaborates, as a theoretical basis and through normativeanalysis, the definition and categories of financial leasing as well as the definition of risk controland its key points in a financial leasing project. The second part provides details of the operationprocess of financial leasing performance, highlighting the strategy of risk control of every link.The third part involves analysis of cases of two typical types of financial leasing to illustrate howrisks are controlled. The fourth part, also the last one, presents a conclusion for this thesis bytrying to give out instructive suggestions for the adoption of financial leasing.
