Chinese Processing Trade Competitiveness Evaluation&Upgrade Countermeasure Analysis

Since the reforming and opening in China, processing trade’svigorous development has made an indelible historical contribution to therapid development of our country’s economy and society. With China’sprocessing trade rapid development, more and more experts and scholarsbegan to focus on researching processing trade from every aspect. Theirresearch results and suggestions further promoted the smooth and healthydevelopment of Chinese processing trade.In this paper, we investigate the status quo of the processing trade,fully affirmed the positive role of the processing trade to China’seconomic development in the specific period, but also not avoiding thedefect, objective analysis of the existing problems of China’s processingtrade. Through the analysis of first hand data of processing trade,construct the processing trade competitiveness evaluation system, usingtwo indicators: Revealed comparative advantage index and Tradecompetitiveness index, try to more visual assessment of the realcompetitiveness of China’s processing trade. Besides the research theoverall competitiveness, this paper also further select several representative industries as the research objects, compared the differentindustry processing trade competitiveness. Then introducing quantitativeresearch technique, run the regression of the mechanical equipmentindustry processing trade competitiveness influence factors, and analyzeson the different factors’ influence for its trade competitiveness. Finally,according to the existing problems in our country processing trade likelow appreciation rate, work out the countermeasures and suggestions topromote the transformation and upgrading of processing trade. This paperhas a certain practical reference value to analyze and solve the currentproblems existing in the Chinese processing trade.
