In2010, China hosted55,660,000international inbound tourists, and earned US$45.8billion in foreign exchange. China has become the third largest inbound tourism destination country in the world. As estimated by WTO (World Tourism Organization), by2015, China will become the first largest inbound tourism destination country. However, in long term, China inbound tourism market presents "two-eight structure"(20%tourists from foreign countries,80%from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan). Therefore, the important task which China inbound tourism industry development is facing is to expand inbound tourism foreign market. Inbound foreign travel is an important part of inbound travel, using social network analysis to optimize China inbound foreign tourism flow network structure, to regulate spatial distribution pattern of inbound tourism., which means extremely vital significance to correctly evaluating competitiveness of city inbound tourism, as well as to the development of combing tourism routes and international tourism marketing between traveling cities.In this paper, making domestic and foreign tourism study as the research foundation, on the base of tourism network theory and Social Network Analysis (SNA) theory, systematically studies characteristics of China inbound foreign tourism flow network structure, and presents the proposal of national and regional optimization of China inbound foreign tourism flow network structure, which also provides theoretical basis for making macroscopic policy of inbound tourism and regional tourism development.This paper intends to draw the following conclusions:(1) Discovering characteristics of China inbound foreign tourism flow network structure:Net structure of China inbound foreign tourism flow network is less compact, spatial distribution of inbound travel is imbalanced. Core nodes and fringe nodes seem to stand out and isolated nodes seem to be obvious.(2) Presenting nodes optimization and relation optimization methods of China inbound foreign tourism flow network structure:nodes optimization:a. consolidating core nodes; b. developing potential core nodes; c. adding new nodes, relation optimization:a. strengthening original connection; b. creating new connection; c. increasing connections between core area and fringe area. (3) Presenting the proposal of regional optimization of China inbound foreign tourism flow network structure:adding one new city node and creating12tourism flow connections in the Yangtze River Delta region, adding four new city nodes and creating38tourism flow connections in the Zhujiang Delta region.(4) Presenting the proposal of national optimization of China inbound foreign tourism flow network structure:creating20tourism flow connections, promoting Kunming and Suzhou as two core nodes, eliminating5fringe nodes, which are Huangshan, Lasa, Leshan, Yiwu, Yancheng, strengthening connections between isolated nodes, which are Lijiang and Dali, and the whole network, improving inbound foreign tourism flow network of the Yangtze River Delta region and the Zhujiang Delta region.The innovation of this study is:using SNA as theoretical basis and technical means, presenting the proposal of optimization of China inbound foreign tourism flow network structure for the first time, based on the present situation of China inbound foreign tourism flow network structure, presenting the proposal of national optimization and regional optimization of this network structure. |
