| Commercial banks to develop the investment banking business is not a new subject offinancial field, but this issue so far is still a hot topic in academic and practice areas.Especially nowadays China’s banking industry is facing the transformation of the mode ofeconomic development, more stringent capital constraints, financial disintermediation andmore intense competition, in this kind of industry environment, the investment bankingbusiness becomes more significant. Since China’s commercial banks have been carried outinvestment banking through various forms of organization, this issue becomes moreurgent.On analysis of the necessity and feasibility of commercial banks’ developing theinvestment banking, relative international experience, reality and problem of this topic, theauthor study and explore specific methods and measures of the business development, putforward a realistic organization choice, that is the financial holding company, demonstratethat business integration and external acquisition are practical methods for thedevelopment of investment banking business, and the banks should strengthen theunderwriting of debt financing instruments business, financial advisory service and M&Abusiness, focus on business innovation and the implementation of differentiation strategywith outstanding professionals and enterprise risk management. |
