In the present stage the total number of the new generation of migrant workers has reached about140million. Such a huge scale of the new generation of migrant workers will have a significant impact on socio-economic transformation in China. Therefore, Chinese scholars pay a lot of attention on the problems of migrant workers, they studied it from a multidisciplinary point of view such as sociology, demography, economics, political science, urban geography But most of the researches just studied the whole group of migrant workers,and did not pay more attention to such a special group-the new generation of migrant workers. This concept of the new generation of migrant workers in this study refers to1980(inclusive) after birth, they born in rural, but work in the city, most of them graduated from high school (inclusive) following. As we all know, the new generation of migrant workers compared with their parents’ generation, the motive of working showing diverse, they are no longer just satisfied by a stable salary to maintain their survival, they think more about the work environment, career prospects, working relationships and so on. It seems that the new generation of migrant workers, freedom and the individual’s future development are more important than the so-called wage. So, relatively speaking, it is very difficult for them to endure repeated and monotonous work of high-strength, non-humane working environment and the relative indifference relationships.Furthermore, the main areas of employment part of migrant workers are concentrated in height labor-intensive manufacturing. In the pipeline for a long time will engender anxiety, tension, boredom, will increase the individual’s mental load and emotional burden, coupled with the new generation of migrant workers lack of labor skills, and lack of effective competitive in the job market, unemployment is common thing for them. In this study, the new generation of migrant workers physically and mentally facing the biggest occupational health problem. From the point of view of organizational behavior, the psychological state of employees through psychological-conduct-performance "transmission chain to affect an individual’s organizational behavior and job performance. So concerned about emotional intelligence in the new generation of migrant workers working and living conditions and the coping styles appears to have practical significance.This article will use the empirical research methods, studying the relationships of the emotional intelligence of the new generation of migrant workers, coping styles and job performance relationship, the samples come from the Pixian Chengdu. The characteristics of this group will have further understanding, and emotional intelligence of the new generation of migrant workers, coping styles and job performance. There is a certain significance of theoretical and practical level in the study.This study has three main purposes:First, to further understand the characteristics of the new generation of migrant workers in Chengdu. Especially emotional intelligence status of these new generation of migrant workers and the characteristics of the way to deal with the pressure in working life.Second, to understand and explore the relationship between emotional intelligence, coping styles and job performance of the new generation of migrant workers in Chengdu, job performance is the most important indicators of an enterprise growth.Therefore, studies of emotional intelligence, coping style and job performance relationship is also to provide suggestions for future more in-depth research.Third, from the point of view of human resource management, the new generation of migrate workers are the rich human resources for China’s economic development.they have made great contributions to the China. The paper describes the generation of migrant workers in Chengdu, emotional intelligence, coping styles and job performance relationship, then have some conclusion for the practice of human resource management.Overall this study has two points of innovation, one is that the study targeted groups of the new generation of migrant workers, the second is the point of view of organizational behavior, collected research data, empirical analysis the characteristics of the Chengdu generation of migrant workers emotional intelligence, coping styles and job performance. Then give some suggestions about human resource management.
