The project management pattern is a style of organization and management to take toachieve the project goal, and a key to improve the level of project management. The projectmanagement pattern properly is a critical point to the success of the project. The evaluationof engineering project management patterns is a kind of complex multiple criteriadecision-making (CMCDM) problem, in which many indicators involved. The definition ofthe indicators is difficult and the relationship between these is complex. Therefore, theevaluation method is crucial, directly related to the rationality of the evaluation results. An evaluation model based on the Modified Delphi (MD) method and AnalyticNetwork Process (ANP) is proposed to solve this problem. First, we use the MD method toestablish internal and external influencing factors on the basis of the consultation andrefining of experts advices. Second, the comprehensive sequence of modes is given tocalculate utility values by the ANP model. The method has considered internal and externalimpact factors about the selection of engineering project management patterns, andanalyzed the interaction and mutual restraint among evaluation indices to scientific results. Then, we get the sort of alternative management patterns through the comprehensiveevaluation. Finally, an example is presented to demonstrate the process of this decisionproblem and validate the proposed method.
