Based on the latest housing security policy at home and abroad, successful experience insolving the housing difficulties of low-income families in urban areas is worth learning fromdeveloped countries and regions, and national model cities on housing security have beenconducted research. Combined with the practice in construction and management of thesubsidized housing in Guangzhou, strategies and suggestions on solving housing difficulties ofregistered low-income families will be put forward in the paper. Through extensive literature andempirical researches, housing status, housing needs and reasons for not applying for housingsecurity of registered low-income families in Guangzhou are analyzed by SPSS statisticalsoftware. According to quantitative research and qualitative research of not applying for housingsecurity of registered low-income families, it is a decisive gist for registered low-income familiesin Guangzhou to deal with housing difficulties from the angle of theory and practice.First and foremost, in accordance with overseas and domestic literature research, theexcellent experience of dealing with housing difficulties in registered low-income families aredraw on, and theoretical frame of subsidized housing on registered low-income families needs tobe perfected, considering the status quo and shortages in national subsidized housing.Secondly, housing status quo and demands of not applying for housing security in registeredlow-income families in Guangzhou are statistically analyzed at the aspect of quantitative analysis.Based on the data from tracking survey on not applying for housing security of registeredlow-income families in Guangzhou, relevant characters and information of variables are furtherdig by statistic analysis approaches such as correspondence analysis, crossing-analyze and so on,in order to find out their current housing situation and their requirements for the subsidizedhousing,especially the special demands for subsidized housing in relative high ratio of thespecial crowd in low-income families, for example, the elderly, the severe, the disableIn addition,reasons for not applying for housing security of registered low-income familiesin Guangzhou are analyzed by quantitative approach. In retrospect of housing security inGuangzhou,problems of subsidized housing on low-income families are analyzed in details interms of supply system, management mechanism, planning and construction, propertymanagement and service and so on, in order to optimize housing security policy and deal withhousing difficulties of the whole registered low-income families.Last but not least, strategies and suggestions on resolving housing difficulties of registered low-income families in Guangzhou are put forward。In order to work out housingdifficulties in registered low-income families as soon as possible, corresponding strategies andmeasures are suggested on all sides, such as improving supply system, regulating mechanism onadmittance, examination, approval, supervision and retreat, achieving internal circulation insubsidized housing, balancing reasonableness in site planning and practicability in productdesigns, enhancing property management and requests for the special crowd. Therefore,constructive suggestions are provided so as to work out housing difficulties in registeredlow-income families.
