China wind power resources is rich, hence has advantage of developing wind power. By the end of2010, our country’s wind power installed capacity ranks first in the world. Many districts built wind power plants, our country’s wind power industry enters rapid development period and the enthusiasm of investing wind power project is increasing.With China’s rapid development of wind farm construction, how to prepare the comprehensive evaluation work is the key to realise the scientific investment decision. Domestic and international experience shows that only evaluate project’s economic benefit is not sufficient to make optimal choice, also need to evaluate project’s social evaluation. Wind power construction project’s social benefit is very distinct, it is necessary to research social benefit.Because the evaluation index system and methods of wind power project social benefit are still immature, making it impossible to fully understand the value of wind power project. Hence, the investor is unable to make optimal choice.According to the significant social benefit of wind power project, this paper attempts to build a reasonable index system of evaluation wind power project social benefit. And then choose a comprehensive evaluation method to evaluate the social benefit of wind power project. At the last, applying this research to practication. Through the example analysis, validating the comprehensive evaluation index system.
