Since the beginning of the21st century, with the human society’s growing energy consumption of traditional energy sources face depletion crisis. At the same time, fossil energy pollution to the environment and the influence on the global climate become more and more serious, energy security and environmental protection have become a global problem. Most countries of the world energy supply can not meet the needs of economic development, and traditional fuel vehicles due to consumption of large amount of oil is exacerbated by the global oil supply and demand contradiction, coupled with the problem of environmental pollution caused by traditional fuel vehicle exhaust emissions, the development of new energy vehicles to become the consensus of the world, the future focus of the "low-carbon economy" and a valid path to enhance industrial competitiveness. In this context, the world’s major automobile-producing countries have put forward the idea of developing new energy automotive industry, and develop appropriate policies to encourage the development of new energy automotive industry. On the basis of domestic and international research and related data combing and analysis, this paper argues that the worsening international environment of high oil prices and environmental issues, new energy vehicles to replace conventional cars will form an irreversible global trend, and become the world’s cars Industry Game new high ground. Although China’s new energy automotive industry is low-key technology R&D capabilities, small-scale industry, new energy vehicles running costs are high, after-sales service system is not perfect, the construction of supporting infrastructure behind many other problems to be solved, but from a global perspective, new energy automotive industry in its infancy, the gap between China and developed countries is not large, we have the advantage of the development of new energy automotive industry. In order to learn the experience that the development of new energy automotive industry from developed countries, this paper make a international comparison from new energy vehicles industry development strategy, and development policy, the development model, industrialization process four aspects, the proposed US-Japan, Europe and other developed countries in the development of new energy automotive industry There are some commonalities. Such as the development of a clear national strategy to guide the development of new energy vehicles, on the whole, the overall strategy based on the formulation stage of development goals, in order to ensure the timeliness of the policy, enterprises which established a clear development strategy and the main direction. For explore the purpose of the competitiveness of China’s new energy automotive industry from a global perspective, and then according to the theory of the "Diamond Model" and the SWOT analysis, and by comparison with developed countries, Analysis the elements of the competitive advantage and weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the new energy automotive industry for our development, and finally how to crack the problems of China’s new energy automotive industry, to promote the new energy automotive industry healthy and rapid development proposed in this paper.
