Our Country Commercial Bank Bonds Investment Management Research

The topic of this thesis is the bond investment of commercial banks.The scale of bond investment of China commercial banks has expanded every year. and bond asset has become the important part of commercial banks assets. Bond investment has been an indispensible channel to provide steady profit. Because of the imbalanced bond market in China and the restrictions by the law of commercial banks investment, the investment behavior faced many problems.In order to find the reasons on these problems, this paper firstly point out the theoretical and practical significance of commercial bank’s bond investment on the background of Subprime Mortgage Crisis and the shifting strategy of bank income. Secondly, the paper analyzed the character of commercial bank’s bond investment on several aspects, such as scale and earnings on the basis of China bond market’s development, and point out the shortcomings, including not has enough liquidity, don’t drive it by bank own, etc. At last, the paper tried to provide some solutions on two levels: the whole strategy of China financial safety and commercial banks.The highlight of this paper is comprehensive. The research has logical orders, from scale, earnings, and risks, but result in that the research stands on the macro perspective and ignored some micro details.
