With the development of international trade and E-business, electronic operation has deeply and further applied in the process of international trade and brings great changes in international trade mode. Electronization of international trade becomes an irresistible trend with the development of international trade and improvement of information technology. Further optimizing the small and medium enterprises’(SME) E-mode of international trade can improve the efficiency of SME in international trade, also greatly cut down the time cost and other relevant costs. Realization of building an optimized international trade E-mode can bring efficient integration of enterprise information management and relevant services such as government administration, payment and logistics in a shared platform.There are seven chapters in this paper. Firstly, it analyses the current developing situation of international trade electronization both in global environment and in China. And then from the standpoint of foreign-trade enterprises, it further discusses the current electronization mode of SME in foreign trade operation, including the motivations of promoting electronic operation in foreign trade, case study of a specific SME. The case study shows Chinese foreign trade SME’current electronization mode of export. Then based on the analysis of the current mode, together with the characteristics of international trade process, an optimized foreign trade electronic mode is established. The anticipated effects of optimized mode include improving the efficiency of foreign trade and greatly cutting down operational costs. Finally, this paper analyses the paths to realize the optimized mode both in terms of government and foreign trade enterprises.
