The Analysis On Technical Efficiency Of Households Grape Production In Wenling

Wenling grape is a typical of high-efficiency agriculture.Currently,Wenling has become the largest greenhouse grape cultivation area and the first listing region in China.The production, development and expansion of grape industry is the result of government oriented policy and is benefited from climate advantage,funds and market. Wenling Grape industry has following characteristics:(1) The latest to come to market and a high degree of cultivation;(2)A unique model of technology diffusion,it has a high technical penetration;(3)Good quality.it has a high degree of standardization.At the time of grape industry booming,the level of technical efficiency of households determines the future development of industry,which is the basic production unit.Thus,study the technical efficiency of household not only has the practical significance for grape industry development,but also can reference for other traditional agricultural industries.In this paper, households will be the research object. The stochastic frontier function model will be applied to analyze the technical efficiency and influence factors.There is also a further study on the policy recommendation to enhance industrial competitiveness.The result shows that there exists an obvious efficiency loss of39.42%on the grape technical efficiency with significant plant size difference.The losses are resulted from following factors:Fertilizer and Labor input are positively related with the output,pesticides and rent are negatively related with it. The contribution of labor is greater than fertilizer and film.However, as time goes by,the input-output elasticity of fertilizer showed a increasing trend with significantly reduction of labor and film.The analysis shows that to expand the scale of planting,increase human capital accumulation, receive relevant training and participate in contract farming are all beneficial to the improvement of technical efficiency.Moreover, increasing the proportion of fertilizers to workers,adjust the ratio of organic manure and fertilizer,reducing the frequency of pesticide use has a positive effect to improve the technical efficiency.At present,unreasonable fertilization phenomenon is still very common.If we can be more precise with fertilizer application,fertilizers will be more catalyst on the technical efficiency. Final, This paper put forward three policy proposals:the first one,to construct a sound chain of technology diffusion by making technological innovations, strengthen technical training and improve the technology popularization system;the second one,to construct a perfect grape industry chain in which contract farming plays a leading role;the last one.to strengthen the role of government policy-oriented with implement the "agriculture through science and technology" strategy,make farmers cultivate stronger and improve the promotion of standardized production system for grapes.
