China and India have many similarities in history and economic development. Both China and India carried out the implementation of economic reformation andopening-up respectively in the late1970s and early1990s, taking the leap-forwarddevelopment and making remarkable achievements. But compared to China’smodernization, the leap-forward development of India is more worthy ofthought-provoking. Because China achieve the purpose of economic developmentin a relatively short period of time with at a lower cost, which needed developedcountries to pay a very long time at a high cost. So China’s modernization is still inaccordance with the traditional model of economic development. India’s economicgrowth has broken through the traditional model of economic development, whichleaded to the main economic structure to develop directly from the agriculture toservices, giving up the accumulation of heavy industrialization. Moreover, theeconomic development of India is inseparable with the globalization of the ITindustry. At the end of the twenty century, In order to more effectively focus onhuman and financial resources on its core business, many large multinationalcompanies spun off their non-core business from the company’s main business to aprofessional company to complete. Indian IT industry seized this historic opportunity, promoting the Indian IT industry to grow rapidly and lead the economic developmentin India. This paper firstly adopts economics, international trade theory and developmenteconomics to make systematic comparative analysis of the achievements of the IndianIT industry from2002to2010. Then by employing the theory of industrialinternationalization, this paper study the internationalization of the India’s IT industryrespectively from the internationalization of production of the Indian IT industry, theinternationalization of talent of the Indian IT industry, the internationalization ofcompetitive pattern of Indian IT industry and the internationalization of managementof Indian IT industry. Since it not only makes the collection of IT industry in the process of writingdue to various reason, but also makes the empirical research on the process ofinternationalization of the Indian IT industry seems to inadequate. So the paperdoesn’t have a detailed empirical study on the process of internationalization of theIndian IT industry. Besides, the paper also doesn’t make a quantitive analysis on theability indicators and modes design of the enterprises which are my future goals towork on.
