As the most representative of a train dragged city in new China,Huaihua city’s rise excellently reflected the impact of the new China Railway Construction on urban development.The academic research for XiangQian,Chi Liu,as "The Great Battle For Railway Construction" with the impact on the rise of Huaihua city in history, not only compensates for the lack of already research historians have done on modern railway and Xing city, but also directly meets the practical needs of China’s railways and urban construction.In this paper, on the basis of a number of field surveys and the investigation of historical materials,as well as sorting through scattered historical data under the guidance of Marxism Historical Viewpoint, the paper found that this period of railway construction had a profound impact on all aspects of the forming of the Huaihua city. The paper refers to the previous rescearch findings of the theory of modern transport functional urban history research on the1970to1983during the construction of Huaihua city of XiangQian,Chi Liu railway history.A short period of12years,Huaihua city’s population from the previous7,000surged to100,000,the urban area expanded from two square kilometers to12.5square kilometers,the streets from a handful to the formed network, and it also came along with the opening of a city bus,supplying of urban water, power supply, greatly improved lighting facilities, flourishing industries as well as the successfully built the city. Huaihua also built its Prefectural Administrative resident,which finally witnessed Huaihua’s transform from a small town into a great railway hub which serving as the regional political,economic and cultural center.Meanwhile, the paper comes to conclusion that the rising of Huaihua came from XiangQian,ZhiLiu,"The Great Battle For Railway Construction" greatly contributed to the flourish of Huaihua.The paper also explores the characteristics of railway of Huaihua city,and from the perspective of the national and Huaihua experience,the paper tries to afford reasonable proposals for taking advantage of construction of transportation projects to promote the city development...
