Research On Sino-Japanese Manufactured Intra-industry Trade

The traditional international trade theory can’t explain the trade of the developed countries after the Second World War. The developed countries import and export the same industry, which makes the economist pay attention to the new trade phenomena, then a variety of intra-industry trade theories also emerge. Now the intra-industry trade has become the forefront topic in the field of international trade. A country’s level of intra-industry trade reflects the competitiveness of products of this country, so the country should enhance the level of intra-industry trade, which can improve the country’s industrial structure and enhance their international market share, so the study of intra-industry trade theory has become particularly important.The trade of manufactured goods is important between China and Japan. In recent years, Sino-Japanese manufactured intra-industry trade also gradually increases. With the development of China’s economy, the manufactured intra-industry trade is becoming increasingly important on China’s international trade field. So we have to in-depth study the level、type and characteristics of Sino-Japanese manufactured intra-industry trade, to explore the stage of Sino-Japanese manufactured intra-industry trade, and study the manufactured of the highest level of intra-industry trade. We can learn from the development experience to enhance the level of Sino-Japanese manufactured intra-industry trade, which can help us speed up adjust the industrial structure and optimize trade structure.This article first elaborated the background and significance of the research on Sino-Japanese manufactured intra-industry trade and selects a most widely used intra-industry trade measurement methods, which we can use to measure Sino-Japanese manufactured intra-industry trade.Second, study the types and characteristics of Sino-Japanese manufactured intra-industry trade. Then select the four factors of direct investment from Japan to China、per capita income differences、 scale economy、Chinese technological progress to establish an empirical model to study on the determinants of Sino-Japanese manufactured intra-industry trade. Finally, the author suggests some policy recommendations to enhance the level of the manufactured intra-industry trade.
