The Research Of Paracel Islands Tourism Development

Due to its rich resources and unique landscape, tourists from different places have increasingly favored such beautiful island, especially to those islands which maintain original ecology and virgin. Therefore Island tourism development has been a new power of ocean tourism development. Paracel islands have never been open to outside, the density of population is small, and it is far from city with no industrial pollution. What’s more important is that the natural environment is unique and its zoology can be independent system. The place is quite clean with unique tropical sceneries. which totally has five tour factors:sunshine, seabeach. air. seawater and green. The study on tourism development of Paracel islands must bring something new to tourism development of islands. Based on field inspections. this paper selects the method of combining theory and practically to fully analyse the development on tourism resources of Paracel islands, and finally offer solid theoretical support for tourism development of Paracel islands.First of all. this paper introduces the correlation theory of island tourism in detail. And by analyzing development tendency of island tourism at home and abroad, it’s clear that sustainable development thought is the core idea of the development of island tourism. Secondly. this paper chooses the Seychelles, the Maldives. Hawaiian islands. Prince Edward Island as case study, in order to provide lessons when Paracel islands is exploited. Than, this paper uses SWOT to fully analyze the feasibility of tourism development of Paracel islands, meanwhile also uses a questionnaire to survey the market potential and development perspective of tourism resource in Xisha. and finally got some basic propositions on tourism development of Paracel islands:(1) Putting forward the development principle "focusing on entironment protection. aiming at sustainable development", and finally achieving individuation and diversification of island tourism development.(2) Putting forward the short-term, mid-term and long-term strategic layout which takes Yongxing Island as core region, mainly building "Ecological tourism circle" (3)putting forward the guideline "mainly producing Classic tourist products" and building three different tourism products "theme tourism products,special tourism products and high-level tourism products",therefore forming a particular tourism product of Xisha.and finally achieving maximum benefit.At last,from the angle of ecology,economy,culture and safety,This paper puts forward some sustainable development strategies for tourism development of Paracel islands.
