With the fully entry of foreign-owned banks, the domestic banks are facing enormouschallenges. How to keep in an impregnable position in the fierce competition becamemanagement priority. Practice has proved that our domestic banks have already showed not adaptto the market environment and it is urgent to improve the current mode. Six-sigma, as a systemmethod for improving business process, which emphasizes continuous improvement in the coreprocess of the key performance in the enterprise. It adheres to customer-centric and makes effortsto increase customer satisfaction. Since Six-sigma is based on data, the conclusion is trueperformance of it. The Banks have a comprehensive data system which provides a uniquecondition for the implementation of Six Sigma methodology. The essay applied Six-sigmamanagement to the improvement of commercial banks.This essay consists of three parts and is divided into four chapters to illustrate. The first partincludes chapter one which introduces the background, purpose, significance and the researchsituation of the study. It also outlines the overall structure and methods of the essay. The secondpart includes chapter two and chapter three describes the theory and the implementation ofSix-sigma management. Online banking has been quietly changing people’s habits. Onlineshopping, online payment and other convenient services make online banking more and morepopular. People are looking forward to easier and faster online banking services. Because of thatin the third part we introduce a case of improvement through the DMAIC methodology inindividual online banking service of a bank.
