Research On The Overseas Business Developmemt Of China’s Commercial Banks

Since the twenty-first century, the globalization of economy has developed at an unprecedented rate, which put forward new requirements for the overseas business development of our commercial banks. In order to adapt to the globalization of economy and enhance the international competitiveness of China’s commercial banks, our commercial banks have built new branches and expanded business abroad. However, due to the overseas business of China’s commercial banks started later than the famous international banks, leading to the overseas business development of our commercial banks seems a little dwarf, which means that there is still much space for the overseas business development of our commercial banks. Therefore, make a research on the overseas business of the development of our commercial banks and find the rules of the overseas business of our commercial banks, it has not only some theoretical significance, but also some practical significance. Firstly, the paper discussed the theory of the development of the overseas business of commercial banks from three aspects of driving factors, influencing factors and patterns choice. Secondly, I analyzed the current situation of the development of the overseas business of our commercial banks with the qualitative method and quantitative method on the basis of these theories that mentioned above, and I found the problems of the development of the overseas business of our commercial banks were as the following aspects shows. The scale was small, the structure was simple and the profits were poor. Thirdly, I made a detailed research on the reasons that leading to the problems. Finally, according to the experiences of the overseas business development of the famous international banks and the reasons that leading to the small scale of the overseas business development of our commercial banks and the single structure of the overseas business development of our commercial banks and the poor profits of the overseas business development of our commercial banks, I proposed some suggestions on how to promote the development of the overseas business development of our commercial banks.
