A Study Of The Performance Evaluation System Of Corporate Social Responsibility For China Insurance

The social responsibility of the enterprise is a hot topic in the academia andbusiness. It has caused extensive concern of the whole society. The socialresponsibility is one of the decisive factors in the operation of globalization. Moreand more enterprises industry practice and lots of research results show that there haspositive correlation between social responsibility and enterprise performance. Soenterprises can change the social responsibility into real competition. Now theinsurance enterprises in our country begin to pay attention to the social responsibilityand post the social responsibility report. But it lacks of a unified social responsibilityperformance evaluation index system in insurance industry, so we unable to make anevaluation to the performance of the social responsibility of each insurance enterprise.In sum, according to the framework of social responsibility evaluation system andthinking of the characteristics of China’s insurance industry, the construction ofindexes system is necessary.This study has explored the social responsibility performance evaluation ofinsurance enterprises in china. First, this paper analysis the theory related the societyresponsibility of insurance enterprise. It have defined the implication of the insuranceenterprise society responsibility and clarified the theory basis of undertaking thesocial responsibility of the insurance enterprises. According to the theory it analysisthe important stakeholders of insurance enterprises. Then it analysis the influencefactors of the social responsibility of the insurance performance evaluation system,and choose the evaluation indicators for every stakeholder, and use AHP to identifyweight. So, it established the social responsibility of the insurance performanceevaluation system. Then, it use the established evaluation system to evaluate andanalysis the social responsibility performance of the two companies(China LifeInsurance and Ping An Insurance).It confirm that this evaluation system has thepractical application value. Finally, according to the result above and corporatesocial responsibility report, it analysis the existing problems of insurance enterprises,and arise recommendations.
