Positive Study On Cultural Industrial Agglomeration In China

The transformation from industrial economy to cultural economy makes the cultural industry is becoming a new engine of national economic growth. In recent years, China’s cultural industry has shown a good momentum of development, which is increasingly concerned by the governments and academics. Most of domestic studies focus on the competitiveness, policy of cultural industry, but there are few researches about cultural industry agglomeration and regional economic growth, the factors of cultural industry agglomeration, especially from the positive analysis. Based on the literature and China’s reality, this paper will analysis the mechanism of regional economic growth affected by China’s cultural industrial agglomeration and theoretical analysis of cultural industrial agglomeration factors. And then, this paper will start with the viewpoint of cultural industrial agglomeration economic growth in China, and analysis in detail whether region economic growth is promoted by cultural industrial agglomeration. Then, this paper will apply Economic Geography and New Economic Geography to make a positive analysis to China’s cultural industrial factors, by using spatial panel econometric model. Thus, this paper develops a framework for studying China’s cultural industrial agglomeration: why to promote the level of cultural industrial agglomeration-how to promote the level of cultural industrial agglomeration.This paper has reached the following conclusions:1. The cultural industrial agglomeration positively promotes economic growth.2. The type of the growth effect of China’s cultural industrial agglomeration is in line with "N" hypothesis and the growth effect of China’s cultural industrial agglomeration is generally located in the first stage of N-curve currently.3. Coastal location and cultural endowment advantage promotes the cultural industrial agglomeration.4. The new economic geography factors of monetary externalities, technological externalities and space costs also promote the cultural industrial agglomeration.5. Government financial support has advantage of cultural industrial agglomeration, areas of low agglomeration is greater than the higher agglomeration region on the dependence of extensive tax competition.6. Positive spillover effect is existed in cultural industrial agglomeration.
