Supermarket in chain is a revolutionary of operations in chain, and it has made noteworthy achievements. As a kind of modern organization and commercial mode, supermarket in chain has broad development prospect and strong vitality. Delivery technology, the critical factor for economies of scale, is the objective requirements of the social manufacture development, and it guarantees the achievements of operations in chain. At the initial stage of, the delivery system of supermarket in China hinders the rapid development of supermarket in chain, restricts the achievement of economies of scale, and has become the bottleneck of supermarket in chain.As the "Nerve center", delivery has become the key factor in the daily business activities of supermarket in chain. Delivery capacity is the fundamental and important guarantee so that it has a direct impact on the operating cost and affects the profitability. With single delivery mode, the supermarket in chain in China has low uniform distribution rate, and the logistics technology, information technology and the scientific and technological content can’t reach the developed country’s level, which hinders economies of scale. At the time of the standardization of the economy in China with the word, supermarkets in chain not only compete with the domestic counterparts, but also withstand the foreign impact. To live in the uncertain environment and achieve breakthrough in the development, supermarkets in China should define the main task as costs reduction, scale expanding, system improving and improvement of management level. How to efficiently choose the delivery mode according to its own characteristics and to enhance the adaptation capacity is an emergency problem facing the supermarkets in China.Based on the domestic and foreign literature about supermarkets in China, this paper introduces the relative theory of operating in chain, delivery and adaptation capacity. And the definition of adaptation capacity, reordering capacity, isotonic capacity and the process of adaptation capacity management are analyzed for the keys.After the theory analysis and the comprehensive consideration, this paper constructs the structure of adaptation capacity of the delivery of supermarket in chain. And then, we specifically describe this adaptation capacity structure which includes market demand, supplier selection, stores demand, commodity characteristics, distribution services, supply chain optimization and government policies and social environment. The main content of this charter is the identification and analysis of adaptation capacity of the distribution of supermarkets in chain.After identification and analysis, this paper introduces the qualitative and quantitative analysis methods for adaptation capacity of distribution of the supermarkets in chain. And then, we propose the comprehensive evaluation method and the evaluation index system from the perspective of adaptation capacity. In a word, this chapter is the evaluation work of the adaptation capacity of distribution of supermarkets in chain.In the end, choosing Yancheng Yajiale supermarket as the study object, this paper puts the comprehensive evaluation method into application. After the evaluation of the adaptation capacity of the distribution modes of supplier distribution mode, self-distribution mode and third-party logistics distribution mode which are applied in Yajiale supermarket, this paper gives some corresponding recommendations for supplier distribution mode, self-distribution mode and third-party logistics distribution mode.
