By emphatically introducing role-identity salience, the current research focous on the relationshipbetween role-identity salience, work-family conflict and job satisfaction, With the aim of exploring theinternal mechanism of work-family conflict.Data from173respondents were collected, including information on work familyconflict, role-identity salience, and job satisfaction. The results suggest that two direction ofwork family conflict: work interference with family (WIF) and family interference with work(FIW) negatively affect the level of job satisfaction; Role-identity salience does indeed affectjob satisfaction. In addition, role-identity salience does moderate the relationship betweenwork family conflict and job satisfaction.The two direction of work-family conflict (WIF and FIW) are effective prediction variables of jobsatisfaction, especially the WIF. Work, family role-identity salience will directly influence employees ontheir job satisfaction. Role-identity salience has moderating effect on the relationship of work-familyconflict and job satisfaction. In the human resources management practice, managers should pay moreattention to role-identity salience to reducing the negative influention of work-family conflict.Discussion about research results is presented, strengths, limitations, and implications ofthe study are discussed, along with areas for future research.
