The Assessment Of The Reliability Of The Wide-plate Project Management

Reliability refers to the ability and possibility of the components, products and systemsperform the specified function without failure in a certain period of time and under certainconditions. Project Management(PM in short), is the manager of a project, constraints oflimited resources, using the logical point of view, methods and theories effectively managingall the works that involved in the project. In order to fulfill the objectives of the project,conducting the planning, organizing, directing, coordinating, controlling and evaluationduring the whole process of a project. To assess the reliability of a Project Management as asystem, has a practical significance in promoting the development of Project Management,which can not be ignored.During the process of continuous growth of Shaosteel, Project Management played asignificant role, and also experienced the evolution of management functions and methods.This paper standing on the angle of the business management, analyzing the problems inShaosteel’s Project Management, and analyzing the cause and countermeasures. Rising thewide plate project as the example, to apply the knowledge and methods, investigating thestrategic project management, project procurement and contract management, projectmanagement and project quality and safety management in the progress of specific projectmanagement application. Using the assessment of the reliability of the wide plate projectmanagement as the example to tell how to improve the Project Management in Shaosteel.In this paper, based on the results of existing research, and guided by the ProjectManagement theory and Systems Engineering theory, using Grey Target theory to establish aproject control standards for the reliability of the calculation model, and obtained thereliability of the control standard value. At the meantime, this paper combined with the actualsituation in the project, considering the reliability of four goals of a project: quality, cost,schedule and safety. Last but not the least, this paper using the actual example to assess thereliability of the wide plate Project Management, and obtained the specific evaluation of data.The conclusion of this paper also investigate the issues that need further study.
