Innovation is considered to be enterprises’ necessary conditions of survival anddevelopment, and it is also a strategic choice on gaining resources. Facing of hot competitionamong enterprises, the managers emphasis more innovation on employees, and pay moreattention to how to improve the employees’ creativity, so as to improve the employees’innovative job performance. A lot of studies show that, the leaders or managers play adecisive role in the guidance and supervision of employees’ innovative job performance.However, how transformational leadership influences employees’ innovative job performanceneed further discussion.Based on these, this research focus on the theory of transformational leadership style ofleadership theory, a logical relationship model among transformational leadership,psychological safety, employees’ creativity, and innovative job performance is constructed, inorder to study the mechanism between transformational leadership and innovative jobperformance, hoping to give some constructive suggestions for Chinese managers in theirinnovation management practices.Above all, the350samples matched by subordinate and supervisor are selected, andfocus on exploring the employees’ creativity’s mediation mechanism betweentransformational leadership and innovative job performance, and psychological safety’smoderation mechanism between transformational leadership and employees’ creativity. Thisresearch use structural modeling equation to fit the data, and find that,(1) transformationalleadership influences employees’ creativity, and innovative job performance positively,(2)employees’ creativity influences innovative job performance positively,(3) employees’creativity is a fully mediator between transformational leadership and innovative jobperformance,(4) psychological safety is moderator between transformational leadership andemployees’ creativity,(5) the creativity of Chinese employees is greater than the mean of thescale level, and male employees’ creativity that is agreed by their superiors is significantlyhigher than female employees.Based on the hypotheses’ verification of the research model, a further discussion israised, and an explanation is provided with theory and innovation management practices, andalso some suggestions are given to managers. Finally, the conclusions, contributions,limitations, and further research of this research are summarized.
