In2008, According to a new adjustment of long-term development plan of China Railway, which,to2020,planned to establish a fast passenger corridor between the capital cities and major cities, and constructed a skeleton which consisted of a high-speed railways of four vertical and four horizontal. Under this background, Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed rail as a "vertical" one of the southern section of the Beijing-Guangzhou high-speed rail, which is the first batch of passenger railway line project of the State Council, This high-speed rail begins in the new station in Wuhan, arrive by Xianning, Red Cliff, Yueyang, Changsha, Zhuzhou, Hengyang, Chenzhou, Shaoguan, Huadu, Guangzhou South Railway Station,Trans-Hubei, Hunan and Guangdong Provinces, through the11prefecture-level cities, Its total length is1069km. On December26,2009, the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed rail was the officially opened and operated.High-speed rail results in a "space compression" effect, making their cities along the reachability to be changed. Growing number of scholars began to pay attentions to the impact of the high-speed rail along the regional economy, urban system, regional spatial structure. Regional spatial structure refers to the spatial distribution and spatial combination of various economic activities in the region.This article is based on the Status quo characteristics, formation mechanism, regional spatial restructuring of high-speed rail, and accords to ask questions, analyze problems, and solutions to those problems to organize framework.This paper is divided into six chapters. The first chapter described the research background and significance, then reviewed for high-speed rail and regional spatial structure, the regional spatial restructuring and other related research at home and abroad, On this basis, define the research scope, framework and methodology and relevant concept, possible innovation. The second chapter is part of the basic theory, is mainly about relevant theories on regional spatial structure transportation and reorganization of the regional spatial at home and abroad.The third chapter is the analysis of the current characteristics of the spatial structure of Hunan Province, the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed rail along the region from the perspective of point, line, network, surface and other factors. The fourth chapter is to identify the formation mechanism of Hunan Province, along the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed railway regional spatial structure through the analysis on its current characteristics. The fifth chapter is to propose specific control measures for the regional spatial restructuring based above the current characteristics and the formation mechanism of Hunan Province, along the Wuhan-Guangzhou high-speed rail. The chapter sixth summarizes some results obtained in this paper, pointed out the inadequacies that exist in the paper, summed up the direction of future efforts should be continue.
