Sichuan Zhongman Electrical Engineering&Technology Co., Ltd.(hereinafter to be referred as ZEETC) is established at the end of2010, and its former is the electrical control department of Zhongman Group. Before separation, the main mission of ZEETC is designing, manufacturing, adjusting and after-sale service of oil rig electrical control system. After establishment, the first project ZEETC faced is what the enterprise strategic position is and how to extend the product scope of ZEETC. Positioning determines the development direction of the enterprise and the development height.In the thesis, the author systemically and dynamically analyzes the macro-environment of oil rig electrical control system, which includes policy environment, economy environment, society environment and technology environment, adopting some enterprise strategy management theory and methods. The background of rig electrical control system industry is analyzed using Michael Porter’s five forces model, then the opportunity and threat which ZEETC faces are summarized. The author analyzes management, market, technology, human resource of ZEETC and summarizes the advantage and disadvantage of ZEETC after comparing with the other electrical control enterprises. After analysis with SWOT method, the mission, vision, development objective, overall strategy (steady development strategy, linkage with capital market and building enterprise culture) and operation strategy (speciality strategy, development in two directions and making market by technology). The corresponding strategies have been figured out in the following direction: technology favorable strategy, brand strategy, market strategy, and human resource strategy, the strategy of improving management, then define the development direction of ZEETC.
