China is a large agricultural country; agriculture in the development of thenational economy is always in the first position. Now China’s agriculture is in acritical period of transition from traditional agriculture to modern agriculture, sothe degree of agricultural informatization and agricultural intelligent isparticularly important. In recent years, with global informationization and thedevelopment of the3rd Generation network, Internet of Things (IOT) isbecoming a hot topic in the world. And the agricultural Internet of Things playsa role as an advanced agricultural information technology, its application willmake modern agriculture relying on the new information technology stepforward and lead the development of modern agriculture.We distinguish the concept of RFID, the ubiquitous network, and wirelesssensor networks, and define the basic concepts of the agricultural Internet ofThings, theories applied in this paper. Then we discuss the prospects of theagricultural Internet of Things applying in the agricultural equipment, climatesmart agricultural, agricultural mechanization zoning and4S of agriculturalmechanization, and the emergency response system of agriculturalmechanization, and analysis socioeconomic distinctiveness about the Internetof Things and agricultural Internet of Things.Based on the field survey about government officials, farmers andagribusiness managers in Jilin province, we analysis the social cognition of theagricultural Internet of Things and the influencing factors using descriptivestatistical analysis method and Logistic regression. The results show: Internetpenetration, education, occupational and perception of national policy of therespondents have a significant positive impact on the social cognition of theagricultural Internet of Things. The sources of risk plays reverse impact on thecognitive level. Age and degree of business involves don’t impact cognition obviously. The study proposes the reasonable suggestions for China todevelop the agricultural Internet of Things.
