As an industry giving value-added services for other national economic industries, the development of software outsourcing is not only to improve the global economic efficiency, but also to become the leading industry in many countries and regions promoting economic development. With the development of software outsourcing industry, the global software market is towards enlarging size of transactions, expanding scope of business, more group involved and obvious modes of offshore outsourcing. Because of the characters of software outsourcing, there are complex business relationships between companies, and the structure of outsourcing market also becomes extremely complex. Therefore, the research of the structure and development tendency of software outsourcing market has its theoretical and practical significance to harmonious development of the whole software outsourcing industry.Software outsourcing network is composed of outsourcing enterprises in some area and outsourcing businesses between enterprises, which is a network system of software production and service. In the network, vertexes and links denote software enterprises and outsourcing business relationships. The researches of scholars at home and abroad to software outsourcing are focused more on outsourcing motivations, strategies and economical effects than the structure, characteristic and evolution of software outsourcing market. Based on software outsourcing industry in the paper, the composition, characteristics, and evolution of software outsourcing network are analyzed systematically from a number of angles through models, theoretical derivation, system simulation and case research.This paper is based on undertaking serious research on internal and external literatures, summarized relational literatures of software outsourcing and complex networks, analyzes their the actuality and problems, expounds the concept and function of software outsourcing, explores connotation, motivations and life cycle of software outsourcing network, then analyzes its characteristics and evolutional rules. From the evolutional rules, evolutional model is established. Through theoretical deduction, software outsourcing network is found to obey power-law distribution and have the scale-free characteristic which is proved by numerical simulation with MATLAB. Then the network is simulated by NetLogo. The acquired graphs from simulation demonstrate the scale-free characteristic of software outsourcing network. Large numbers of software enterprises only possess fewer outsourcing business relationships with others, while a few core enterprises own lots of relationships. These core enterprises play a critical role in the network and directly affect the stability and development of the network. And then the network robustness is studied. The paper analyzes two kinds of vertex failure affecting network connectivity and provides two species of index to measure the network robustness. A practical case is analyzed to paint the network topological graph with PAJEK, calculate the related statistical properties and explain the causes and significance of properties. Under the vertex failures, the network robustness is studied through the index, the interrelated conclusion is gained. At last the conclusions of the paper are summarized, further research of software outsourcing network is analyzed. |
