Study On The Industry In Hilly County AREA Of Sichuan Province

As the basic unit of the national economy and the foundation of the political power construction, county government is of importance in Chinese administrative system, taking a significant pivotal role of connecting link between the proceeding and the following for social stability and economic development. In Chinese national economy, considering the fact that county economy accounts for a large proportion in the national economy, to boost the county economy is vital to the economic development of the whole nation. Consequently, it is practically important to research on the county economy.There are68county-level (cities, regions) administrative units in the hilly area of Sichuan Province, mainly located in Chengdu Plain and Sichuan Basin. These units are an essential part of the economy of Sichuan Province. Therefore, the expending of unit economy has direct bearings upon the healthy and prosperous development of provincial economy. The economy of countries in Sichuan Plain has been stably developed while severe problems constraining economical development exist in countries of hilly area, such as the low GDP and farmland of average per capita, the irrational industrial structure, the slow urbanization pace, the lack of and backward modern industry, and so forth, resulting a increasingly expending gap between the economical status of the two regions. Hence, considering the critical position of county economy of hilly area for the whole province, we should put emphasis on developing the hilly area county to achieve Sichuan county economic development by leaps and bounds. This study has some practical significance to the regional economic theory and the development of the hilly area in Sichuan Province.Starting with the theoretical analysis of county economical development, the paper firstly specifies the geographical region of counties in the hilly area of Sichuan Province, and generally describes the current situation and characteristics of county economy of hilly area on the basis of the local natural, economical and social status. After then, combining the county economy theory and the actual economical condition, the author makes in-depth research and analysis on the problems and restraining factors for the development of county economy in that area from the aspects of industries, urbanization construction, infrastructures, human capitals and financial environment, etc. Indeed, it is an urgent task to improve the economical level of county economy in hilly area, Sichuan Province. And the paper concludes with specific suggestions aiming at the above mentioned problems that restrict economical progress in hilly area.
