China Steel Distribution System Research Based On Supply Chain

In the "11th Five-Year" period, China’s steel distribution industry maintained the momentum of rapid development, and China’s steel output occupies an important position in the global steel production. However, the competitiveness of China steel industry is still weak in the world steel market. The reason can be summarized that the industry hasn’t formed a stable production and distribution chain. Because the efficient supply chain management can significantly reduce logistics cost, the domestic steel distribution system should focus on building and optimizing the distribution route. At the macro level, how to improve the steel distribution system and the circulation model is one of the urgent needs in the process of China’s steel industry development. At the micro level, the industry management platform for steel manufacturing companies, distributors and users will improve supply chain management, which is the key factor to reduce the cost of steel circulation.Firstly, based on steel supply chain the paper establishes the new circulation model according to the separation of logistics and business flow of China steel industry compared the ideal circulation model with the traditional circulation model. Then, the paper proposes specific solution of steel supply chain operations management platform. Finally, corresponding practice and advices are proposed.
