With the rapid development of the railway sector in recent years which had a increasingly high requirements for railway equipments, there is existing an urgent need to build a quality system which is defined according to the characteristics of the rail industry to regulate, contstraint and promove the management level of the entire industry. IRIS (international railway industry standard) is a set of standard of industry quality management system, is a common global system of quality assessment (management), its purpose is the assessment of development and implementation of the business management systems.In this paper, from the perspective of the International Railway Industry Standard system of philosophy, principles, characteristics and advantages of in-depth study of IRIS-related theory and application of the railway equipment industry enterprises. On this basis, the paper survey and analysis of the status quo of enterprise quality management system of Chinese railway equipment, in-depth research IRIS railway equipment enterprises in China’s import and Applied Research: accordance with the relevant requirements of the IRIS company industry characteristics, re-identify the three main types of management system process, including key processes, support processes, management processes. Use of process and quality, environmental, occupational health and safety management principles and improve the company’s quality management system, and the final completion of the IRIS import. Hope this can give a quality system construction and development of the Chinese rail equipment companies, and bring some reference.
