Though the research and practice on motivation theory has began since the 1930s began, the motivation decision-making mainly stay in the level of motivation theory in modernenterprise’s practice and management, and the corporate motivation decision-making lack ofscientific criteria and procedures. Most of the motivation policy making is a kind of judgmentabout the subjective experience and a qualitative decision-making. When there are variousmotivation programs, it is lack of scientific and quantitative research and analysis for the mosteffective motivation program. The essay is just proposed in such a context.Firstly, in this essay, it has a comprehensive understanding about motivation theory andthe status of motivation study with the method of literature review method, on which basisthat decision-making factors were analyzed in detail in enterprise’s operation management. Itfocuses on the factors that motivate decision-making content and how these factors play anmotivation role. On the basis of reference to the large number of research literature, it makes ainduction of the motivations factors, and these factors should be integrated into type ofeconomic decision-making factors of motivation and type of non-economic factors. Thenestablish the corresponding motivations decision-making factors indicators which have laidthe foundation for quantitative research of the decision-making factors as further motivation.Secondly, this essay makes a study on the relationship model between motivationdecision-making factors. The essay divided the motivation decision-making factors into theeconomic decision-making factors and non-economic indicators for quantitative research. Foreconomic indicators, it used the economic analysis on effectiveness of motivation to establish. For the non-economic indicators, it established relationship model for quantitative research bysurvey research methods based on Vroom’s expectancy theory. Meanwhile, with the methodof AHP-Grey Relational Analysis, it has a study on the importance and weighing ofmotivation decision-making factors, and which are used in the final motivationdecision-making’s total utility model established. Finally, it gets the scientific and reasonablemotivation decision-making optimization model. Finally, apply the created motivation decision-making optimization model to a case study.Take the L Company for an example, and analyze the motivation decision-making problem inthe L Company’s product R & D department for the new motivation program by applying themodel established. The raw data is got by the method of questionnaire survey in the case. Asfor the parameters in the model, it analyzes the collected data by using the relative statisticalknowledge and obtains estimates of parameters which can be applied to motivatedecision-making optimization model for obtaining the optimal decision-making. This casestudy has examined the scientific nature, feasibility and reasonableness of motivationdecision-making optimization model. What’s more, the motivation decision-making optimization model provides a scientific theoretical basis and decision-making support.
