| As an important part of human resource management, Performance evaluation (PE)is increasingly applied to the daily production and management in all types ofenterprises. Successful PE will help the user to improve s employee’s motivation andperformance at work, thus improving the management efficiency of the enterprise.Jinan Power (Group) Ltd., Huaiyin Branch (HYB) is a power supply branch ofState Grid Corporation Shandong Electric Power Group Corporation. HYB wasestablished in2000, mainly engaged in electrical engineering, consulting, design,maintenance, installation, commissioning. In the branch, the basic level employees(BLE), whose job is professional electricity power production, take70%of the totalpopulation of the whole branch. BLEs, therefore, as the basic cell of the HYB, directlyaffect the ultimate performance of the company. The optimization of the BLEs`PEsystem is of great significance.Based on PE theory, combined with the HYB’s character, this article takes BLEs`performance evaluation as the object of study, uses questionnaires and data collectionmethods to assess the status quo and problems of the current performance evaluationsystem, and improve the performance evaluation system by changing assessment factorssuch as the performance indicators, weight, cycle and apply the result to optimize theperformance evaluation system of BLEs.By optimizing the design of the BLE PE system, this new system creates a betterenvironment for employees, improves the execution of the BLEs, and thereby enhancesthe efficiency of management and enables the HYB to have stronger corecompetitiveness in a longer term. The attempt to optimize BLEs PE system, enriches themeans and methods of power supply enterprises`PE and provides a useful reference forother industries as well. |
