In the21century, the competition is no longer between the enterprises, but between thesupply chains. On the basis of the domestic and foreign relevant researches, the optimization ofdelivery quantities for the supply chain are studied to reduce the total cost of the buyer and thevendor, shorten delivery time and improve the competitiveness of the supply chain in this paper.Based on a two-layer supply chain consisted of single vendor and single buyer, under theconsideration of transportation cost, the delivery quantities is optimized. Based on the length oftime the cooperation of the both, there are two cases. One case is that buyer and vendor are in long-term cooperation and the other is that the cooperation between buyer and vendor is just for an order.First, for the first case, the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) under the consideration oftransportation cost is established and it is based on optimizing one side interest. The model basedon the general interest of the supply chain is established and a two-stage solution method isproposed because the model is a nonlinear constrained optimization problem used Lingo software.A numerical example shows that the solution of model based on the general interest of the supplychain is good to deduce the general cost effectively. The benefit sharing system is established toassure that both sides could enjoy the benefit from the cooperation. Sensitivity analysis is presentedto provide information for cost control and save. Then, for the other case, aim at cost, cost and delivery time respectively delivery quantityoptimization models are established under the two conditions of only one transportation mode canbe select and the multiple modes can be combinatorial selected. The numerical example shows thatfast transportation mode is tend to be selected to delivery the first delivery quantity to shorten thedelivery time and economical modes are tend to be selected for the rest delivery quantities. Thebenefit sharing system and sensitivity analysis are presented in the model and numerical examplein model and example. At last, an actual example is showed as engineer application for the optimization of thedelivery quantities under the condition of buyer and vendor only cooperation for single order. Theresults indicate that compared with current the delivery method the optimized delivery quantitiescalculated by the model in this paper could effectively deduce the cost and shorten the deliverytime. The benefit sharing system and sensitivity analysis are presented also. |
