As the automotive industry is becoming more and more competitive, controllogistics costs is one of the most recognition problems. In the automotive logisticssupply chain, inbound logistics is recognized as the key link to logistics system healthyoperation and continuous optimization. The most automobile manufacturers changedtraditional inbound logistics model and introduced advanced logistics model, forexample, Milk-run, joint inventory distribution and so on, to improve logisticsefficiency and reduce logistics costs.Inventory and transportation are the two most important links in the logisticssystem, decide logistics cost directly.“Anti-back benefits” relationship betweeninventory and transportation makes them “prisoners dilemma” if they only considerthemselves. They must cooperate and coordinate and seek a balance between them, andif only makes them in a cooperative game, makes the overall effectiveness of logisticssystem best. Combined internship experiences in a third-party automotive logisticscompany, the importance of inventory management in the automotive parts inboundlogistics was emphasized, automotive parts inbound logistics distribution problemmodel under inventory constraints was built, and cloud genetic algorithm was used tonumerical simulations. Details are as follows:Firstly, the basic theoretical knowledge of inventory and transportation wereintroduced separately. In the aspect of inventory, from the concept of inventory, the roleof inventory, inventory management method, inventory cost structure and inventorycontrol strategy were introduced. In the aspect of transportation, transportation coststructure was introduced; different aspects of automotive parts inbound logistics modelwere analyzed comparatively. Game relation between inventory and transportation inthe third-party logistics company was elaborated.Secondly, local suppliers and remote suppliers automotive parts inbound logisticsdistribution problem model under inventory constraints were built separately. The basicprinciple of cloud genetic algorithm was introduced, and used to numerical simulationsfor local suppliers.Finally, thesis research was applied in the M logistics company providing Milk-runpickup program for a factory of CW, and achieved good results.
