The recognition of different objects by remote sensing is based on reflection the sensor received from detection target and research on the differences of electromagnetic spectrum characteristics. Ground objects spectrum database provide basic information for RS quantitative analysis and computer intelligent objects extraction and is also the main reference frame of objects recognition. To build up the spectrum database for recognition of ground objects and detection target has important significance to promote development of remote sensing, it is a hot issue now the RS focus on.Called "post-PC era" in the 21st century. In the "post-PC era", a wide variety of embedded products gradually replaced the PC, become a tool for dealing with information. PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) is now more common in embedded products, is a Mobile Intelligent Terminal.Today, Embedded Geographic Information System has been widely applied, but the PDA is not widely applied in the field of remote senseing. Under this condition, in this paper PDA will be combined with the spectral matching of remote sensing image based on spectral library, so we will develop a spectral matching of images system applied to PDA in this paper.The system is suitable for fieldwork, there are two functions: First, when using spectrometer measure the object reflective spectrum, you can compare to the same type of feature spectral curve in the spectral database at any time. Second, the local remote sensing image can be viewed in the course of field investigation, and to extract the spectral reflectance rate of end-member of interesting in remote sensing image, the end-member would be identified by spectral matching techniques based on spectral database.Based on the actual needs, in this paper, we design and development the spectral matching of remote sensing image system applied to PDA by reading a great deal of information both at home and abroad. The system is to use the C # language and SQL Server Mobile database to develope the software suitable for Windows Mobile operating system on Visual Studio.NET 2005 development platform, which has two main modules: spectral database management system module and spectral matching of imaging module. The system can select arbitrary end-member of unknown objects, so as to achieve the purpose of identification of unknown objects by comparing the spectral matching algorithm with the standard spectral response curve in the database.This system user-friendly, simple to operate, easy to carry, was facilitated to the researchers for the geological fieldwork.
