Design And Implementation Of The Library Management System Based On.NET

As the important department in researching and teaching at university, library specializes in shelving, gathering and collecting books for people to read and refer. As one of the standards for the top colleges, having a first-class library is necessary. After entering the21s1century, with the development and widespread use of network, the traditional library management method has gone against the development of university library. And that the technology of information management has become the main way to manage university library. By the way of information management system, the management will become more systematic, programmatic and normalized and the working efficiency will be improved greatly. Along with the development of computer technology, network technology is also in constant progress. As the upgrade pattern of Client/Server (C/S). Browser/Server (B/S) structure is gradually replacing C/S and becoming the mainstream of Web application structure. The B/S structure system makes the deployment of library management system in LAN or Internet more flexible and convenient. As long as you use the browser, every function of the system can be realized.This thesis points out the flaws in traditional library management through investigation and analysis of the current status of management, and make sure the aim and significance to develop the library management system. Based on the development tool of library management system, this paper introduces the basic theory of database and development technology, Microsoft Visual Studio2012development environment, ADO.NET technology, ASP.NET technology and three-tier architectures. The feasibility to develop library management system based on.NET is demonstrated technically.The development purposes, design principles, requirements analysis, system work program, etc. have been analyzed in detail in this paper. The Browser/Server (B/S) model based on three-tier structure is adopted as the main framework to design the system in detail. In this paper, the concept of system database and logical model are introduced. Some important functions and modules of the system are described detailedly and the data sheets needed in system building is presented. With reference to object-oriented concept and combination of software engineering, the requirements analysis and system design of.NET based library management system" are described using UML. And the system is coded in Visual Studio2012development environment. In the implementation section, the implementation processes of some modules, such as system home page, system registry, administrator setting, library management, book circulation etc. are introduced. Through system testing, the results show that the intended target is realized basically, and satisfy the design requirements. This system is developed by using technology, such as visual IDE environment, component controls etc. and the efficiency of development is improved largely. This makes the sharing and reproducibility of the system modules realized and makes it real to develop once and use anywhere. The development cycle is much short. When this system is put into practical use, it can improve the efficiency of daily work and reduce human resources greatly which will release of administrators from tedious work. At the end of this paper, the whole work is summarized and the development of the next phase is looked forward.
